How it works

1. Text a photo of the other shop's estimate to 647-629-3963, or bring the paper with you.
2. Kamal puts the car on the hoist and looks at what the estimate says is wrong.
3. You get three answers: what needs doing now, what can wait, and what he would charge for it. In writing.

Sometimes the other shop is right. When they are, Kamal says so. When they are not, you have the paper to prove it.

Ask about the cost of a look when you text. Ontario law says a shop must tell you any estimate fee before it starts, and if you go ahead with the repair here, the law says that fee cannot be charged on top.

Buying a used car?

Bring it here before you pay. We put it on the hoist and tell you what it really is: brakes, suspension, leaks, rust, the things a test drive cannot show you. A written list you can take back to the seller.

Why a written estimate protects you

In Ontario the final bill cannot be more than 10 percent above the written estimate, and a shop cannot start work without your permission. All of your rights, in plain English.
